Our Achievements

Over two decades of community leadership and Impact

Since its establishment in 2004 and formal registration in 2010, LMartin People Association (LPA) has remained a trusted voice for the LMartin indigenous community. What began as a community-driven movement to safeguard identity and advocate for indigenous rights has grown into a respected organization championing cultural preservation, sustainable development, and social inclusion.
Our achievements are rooted in the resilience of our people and the collective efforts of our members, partners, supporters, and stakeholders.

 - Our Impact Journey

For more than two decades, LPA has championed the recognition of the LMartin people as a distinct indigenous community. Through continuous advocacy, dialogue, and community mobilization, we have strengthened awareness of our unique history, identity, and aspirations.

LPA has actively promoted the documentation, preservation, and celebration of indigenous traditions, customs, language, and cultural practices. Community gatherings, cultural forums, and heritage initiatives continue to inspire younger generations to embrace and preserve their identity.

Lmartin People Association (LPA) has successfully represented the interests of the LMartin people in national and local forums, ensuring that indigenous perspectives are included in conversations on development, inclusion, land, education, and human rights.

Through community mobilization and leadership development, LPA has strengthened local structures that encourage participation, accountability, and inclusive decision-making among elders, women, youth, and community representatives.

Over the years, LPA has established productive relationships with government institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, researchers, and community-based organizations. These partnerships have expanded opportunities for community development and institutional growth.

LPA continues to support initiatives that improve household resilience through environmental conservation, livelihood diversification, natural resource management, and community empowerment.

Recognizing that sustainable development requires inclusive participation, LPA has promoted programmes that empower women and young people through leadership, capacity building, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

LMartin People Association (LPA) recognizes that a healthy environment is essential to the well-being, livelihoods, and cultural identity of indigenous communities. Over the years, we have actively promoted environmental conservation by encouraging sustainable natural resource management, protecting biodiversity, and raising awareness about the importance of conserving ecosystems for future generations.
Working hand in hand with local communities, government agencies, and development partners, LPA has supported initiatives that promote tree planting, landscape restoration, climate resilience, environmental education, and responsible stewardship of natural resources. These efforts have strengthened community participation in conservation while helping to safeguard the environment that sustains both people and wildlife.
As we look to the future, LPA remains committed to advancing community-led conservation initiatives that protect nature, enhance climate resilience, and ensure that future generations inherit a healthy, productive, and sustainable environment.
